Computer Engineering Camp

Overview

This program was designed by the engineering faculty at Bob Jones University. Classes are taught by faculty and students from Bob Jones University. The program includes extensive hands-on practice with computer hardware and programming. The BJU team will provide computers, Arduino microcontrollers, and all needed electronics parts for students to work with. Students who complete the entire project will receive a certificate.

This week-long camp is ESL-friendly and requires only intermediate-level English ability. No prior programming or electronics experience is required.

Other Details

​The host school will provide a classroom with tables or desks suitable for 25 students. Each student needs sufficient desk space for a notebook computer, tablet computer, and Arduino circuit board. The host school will provide housing and lunch for the 6 team members and 2 team directors for 5 days. The team will arrive on Sunday afternoon, teach camp Monday-Friday, and then leave on Friday evening. The BJU team will bring notebook computers, tablet computers, and network equipment which they will set up in the provided classroom. Host schools do not need to provide any computer equipment.

Class size: minimum 15 students, maximum 25 students.
  • Ages: Students must have completed the 7th grade.
  • Program: Monday-Friday, 7 hours of class each day.
  • Cost to the host school: 650,000 KRW per student.
