After School Programs

Miracle Hill Children’s Home
We are seeking after-school volunteers to tutor and/or assist children with homework assignments. We want to equip each of our children with the tools and assistance they need to succeed in school as well as life! After school services take place on campus at the Children’s Home located in Pickens. Tentative times for tutoring sessions are as follows:
Monday- Thursday
  • 1st-5th      2:30 p.m. -4:00 p.m.
  • 6th-12th    4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
A house parent will be present during all sessions and necessary supplies will be provided. Anyone interested in volunteering must attend volunteer orientation and follow volunteer procedures (e.g., a background check). If you are interested in serving, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Kris Blackman (kblackman@miraclehill.org). You may also contact Chandler Saylors (lsaylors@miraclehill.org), Education Coordinator, with any specific questions about tutoring or after-school services.

Greenville County Community Centers (Brutontown, Freetown, Sterling, Mt. Pleasant, and more)
Children in the Greenville County school system have the option to attend tutoring at local community centers throughout the Greenville area at the close of the school day. Community centers are in need of volunteers to help kids in grades K-5 with homework. There are also opportunities for mentoring, life-skills instruction, and game times!
